We help companies manage their hiring processes — and we help candidates like you move through them. Orbio is a technology platform used by employers to manage their hiring. ORBIO AI, S.L. operates the platform infrastructure. Orbio does not make hiring decisions and does not manage the relationship between candidates and employers.
These Terms apply only to your use of the platform as part of an employer’s recruitment process.
2. Acceptance
By submitting an application through Orbio — whether directly through our platform or via a partner job board that uses Orbio's technology — you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not submit an application or provide your personal information through our platform. You will not be penalised for declining, though you may not be able to participate in recruitment processes managed through Orbio.
We may update these Terms periodically. The date above reflects the current version.
3. Your application
3.1 What you submit
When you apply for a role through Orbio, employers may request information such as your name, contact details, CV, experience, or answers to questions. Orbio only facilitates the transmission of this information to the employer. The specific information requested will depend on the employer and the role.
3.2 Accuracy of your information
You are responsible for ensuring that everything you submit is accurate, complete, and up to date. Providing false, misleading, or plagiarised information — including in your CV, cover letter, or answers to questions, may result in your application being withdrawn. Employers may request information such as your name, contact details, CV, experience, or answers to questions. Orbio only facilitates the transmission of this information to the employer.
If any information you have provided changes materially during the recruitment process, we encourage you to update it where possible or inform the employer directly.
3.3 How your application is processed
Orbio uses AI-assisted tools to support Employers on the screening and evaluation of applications. This may include automated analysis of your CV, ranking of candidates based on job requirements, and scheduling assistance.
These tools support administrative workflows only and do not replace, human decision-making by Employers.
Orbio does not make or influence hiring decisions. All decisions are made solely by the employer.
3.4 No guarantee of employment
Submitting an application through Orbio does not guarantee an interview, a job offer, or any employment outcome. Orbio facilitates the process; hiring decisions are made exclusively by the employer.
4. Communications
4.1 How we may contact you
During the recruitment process, Orbio may send you communications on behalf of the employer relating to your application. These may include application confirmations, status updates, interview invitations and reminders, and requests for additional information. These communications are sent on behalf of the employer.
4.2 Email communications
We will send recruitment-related emails to the address you provided. These are operational messages — not marketing. You will not be added to any mailing list or promotional campaign as a result of applying through Orbio.
4.3 SMS and text message communications
If you provide a mobile phone number as part of your application, you may receive SMS messages from Orbio related to your recruitment process.
Opt-in: By providing your mobile number and submitting your application, you consent to receive SMS messages for recruitment-related purposes, such as interview scheduling and application updates.
Opt-out: You can withdraw this consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP if you need assistance. Opting out will not negatively affect your application, though some communications may then only be reachable by email.
Message frequency: The number of messages you receive depends on how far you progress in the recruitment process and how active your application is.
Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan and carrier.
Your number is not shared for marketing: Your mobile phone number and your SMS opt-in consent will never be shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Carrier disclaimer: Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. If you are not receiving expected messages, please check your signal and carrier settings.
5. Your rights as a candidate
5.1 Non-discrimination
Orbio is committed to supporting fair and equal recruitment. The platform must not be used to discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law.
5.2 Withdrawing your application
You may withdraw your application at any time by contacting the employer directly. Withdrawing your application does not automatically delete your personal data — please see our Privacy Policy for information on data retention and how to request deletion.
6. Acceptable Use
We ask that you use Orbio in good faith and in a way that does not harm other candidates, employers, or the platform itself. You agree not to:
Provide false or misleading information about your identity, qualifications, or experience
Impersonate another person or submit an application on someone else's behalf without their knowledge and consent
Use automated tools or bots to submit applications or interact with the platform
Attempt to access data belonging to other candidates or to parts of the platform you are not authorised to use
Engage in any conduct that harasses, intimidates, or harms recruiters, other candidates, or Orbio staff
Interfere with the operation of the platform
We reserve the right to remove your application from active consideration if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated these responsibilities.
7. Platform availability
The platform may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. Orbio does not guarantee uninterrupted or errorfree operation.
8. Limitation of liability
Orbio is a platform that facilitates recruitment processes managed by third-party employers. We are not responsible for the conduct, decisions, or communications of those employers, or for any outcome of a recruitment process.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. Orbio disclaims all implied warranties, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, or reliability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Orbio's liability to you in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform is limited to direct damages actually suffered and shall not exceed €500 in aggregate.
Orbio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or reputational harm, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
